Academic Hospitalist Quality Portfolio Update

Look for Ben Taylor’s article in the June Forum issue introducing the Academic Hospitalist Quality Portfolio.  The SGIM Academic Hospitalist Task Force created the Quality Portfolio (QP) to better document work and achievements in Quality and Safety for Hospitalists and other General Internists.  Version 1.0 of the Quality Portfolio is now available on the SGIM website here.  The QP will also be featured in the Academic Hospitalist Academy in November and future Annual Meeting workshops.

SGIM Policy Positions Related to Health Care Reform

The months ahead offer opportunities for SGIM, an organization of primary care physicians, clinician educators and health service and policy researchers, to inform and shape the future of US health care. SGIM supports legislative priorities for Health Care Reform and generalist workforce expansion based on principles identified in this paper.
